I will not be able to keep my house if I file bankruptcy.
This is a completely untrue statement. As long as you are current and do not have too much equity in your home you will be able to keep your home in a Chapter 7 and discharge all of your unsecured debt.
If you are behind on your house or have too much equity in your home you may file a Chapter 13 which would allow you to pay your missed payments and a portion of your unsecured debt over a three to five year period.
Contact our office today to discuss your options on getting a fresh financial start.
